Lucrezia

My name is Lucrezia Roncadi, I was born in Modena and I am 30 years old.

I graduated in 2018 in Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. I am currently a secondary school teacher and I am attending the last year of the master’s degree course in History and Criticism of the Arts and the Performing Arts at the University of Parma.

I approached the Manitese Finale Emilia office in 2013 as a customer because I was looking for second-hand clothes and accessories. Over the years, thanks to the volunteers at the office, I gradually approached the life of the association and, after finishing my master’s degree, in 2019 I did my civil service at Manitese at the Finale Emilia office. This experience allowed me to learn more about the history, values and, above all, international cooperation projects.

I am currently coordinator of the Manigolde Sartoria Sociale project, born within the A.P.S. Mani Tese Finale Emilia. Inclusion and sustainability are at the heart of the project because, on the one hand, we create job opportunities for people in difficulty by including them in a training, experiential and equal path. On the other hand, we recover donated waste materials, from private individuals or companies, to give them a second chance.

Over the years, I have treasured the themes of Mani Tese by following their evolution and listening to the experiences of senior volunteers. At the same time, I have developed my own personal idea, which is inspired by transversal principles concerning the causes of underdevelopment, from a global to a local vision. I believe that everything has to be traced back to a common thought of integral sustainability, i.e. environmental, social and economic sustainability as an engine for the development and progress of communities both in Italy and abroad.
