Mani Tese presents theEnvironmental Global Index, an innovative project created to address environmental inequalities and promote global equity. Produced with contributions from Cariplo Foundation and in collaboration with University of Milan, Polytechnic University of Milan and eNextGen, the index represents the fruit of a long research journey that began in 2012.
Through the development of scientifically based and up-to-date indicators, the project provides an interactive platform to monitor environmental disparities between the global North and South by analyzing causes, impacts and responsibilities. The first periodic report also delves into the textile sector, highlighting critical issues but also virtuous examples of change.
The goal is to provide an accessible and rigorous tool to guide more just and sustainable environmental policies by stimulating informed and purposeful public debate.
