We have always been committed to protecting the environment
Mani Tese is part of a national and international network that promotes the Climate Justice. Our commitment to justice gives the climate crisis not only an environmental dimension but also ethics and politics.
La sustainabilityà Environmental Sustainability is at the heart of all our projects international cooperation, in which we propose, within the scope of activities to combat hunger and poverty, techniques and methods of managing resources that respect the natural context, with a circular approach oriented towards the regeneration of the resources themselves.
The action of Mani Tese for the environmental protection translates, for example, into projects of reforestation, the creation of local and sustainable agri-food systems, the circular economy and the promotion of renewable energy.
We also work to raise awareness and involve local communities, making them protagonists of change and stimulating the adoption of sustainable solutions to address environmental challenges.
Mani Tese has also always promoted the concept of environmental justice, understood as the affirmation of the right of indigenous peoples and communities historically settled in the territories to exercise full control over land, water, forests and energy sources in terms of access to and distribution of these resources, sharing of the proceeds deriving from their exploitation and compensation for any damage suffered.
This is also why we fight, in collaboration with the institutions, civil society and environmental movements, to prevent those who suffer the most serious consequences of climate change from being those who have contributed the least to creating it.
