Atija Pereira is a beneficiary of the “Rural Quelimane” project co-financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.
Atija lives in the Namacurra district and we dedicated the first and sixth episodes of our videoblog “Stories of Rural Quelimane” to her, in which she told us about the agroecological training she received.
Now Atija has the knowledge to cultivate her fields as best she can and can sell the products, so that she has the money to buy food and clothes for her children.
In this period of emergency, Atija and her community are attentive to the precautions to avoid the spread of the infection and work in safety, so they use the masks made thanks to the project.
Fortunately, no one has gotten sick for now and everyone is fine, as Atija tells us in this video:
