We had already met Atija about a year ago and the first episode of our video blog “Stories of Rural Quelimane” was dedicated to her.
Atija, initially, did not have the knowledge to best cultivate her fields, but following the agroecological trainings offered by the “Rural Quelimane” project, she learned new techniques such as the use of waste to fertilize the soil.
In addition, a well has been built and now the community in which Atija lives can use water to cook, wash, wash clothes, and it is no longer necessary to walk long distances to refuel.
These are small but important achievements.
