We returned to the Nicoadala district to Alberto António Ubre, beneficiary of the “Rural Quelimane” project, co-financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.
We had already met António in the third and fifth episodes of our videoblog “Stories of Rural Quelimane”, in which he told us about his fields where he grows rice and vegetables and the agroecological fairs organized by Mani Tese in which he participates.
Despite the difficulties due to Covid-19, thanks to the project, markets have been organized where António meets customers who want to buy his products.
Furthermore, its fields are now equipped with an irrigation system.
António really enjoyed the recipe book, thanks to which he discovered new and better dishes than he was used to, as he tells us in this video:
